Taneli Fabritius works as a Production Supervisor at Oilon’s Lahti factory. He joined the company as an Electrician in the project burner production team. While working, he continued his studies in engineering. After a study leave, he moved into the role of Production Coordinator, before progressing to his current position as Production Supervisor.

"My work has been very diverse, and from the very beginning I've felt that people have trusted me. Of course, you also need the motivation to develop yourself and take initiative if you want to grow into more responsible roles. At Oilon, I've always been encouraged to develop, supported along the way, and given the opportunity to build my career in a direction that interests me," he says.

As a Production Supervisor, Taneli helps ensure that the production team has the right conditions to succeed and that production runs smoothly. His days include solving problems, coordinating schedules and anticipating production bottlenecks. An important part of the role is also driving continuous improvement and developing new ways of working. Close collaboration with different departments is an essential part of his daily work.

"In my current role, it has been a real advantage that I've previously worked in burner assembly and in production. I understand how the work is done in practice, and I'm familiar with the company's ways of working," Taneli explains.

The variety of the role is one of the things he enjoys most. With different projects progressing simultaneously, no two days are the same.

Taneli describes the working atmosphere at Oilon as one of its greatest strengths.

"People and the atmosphere are what make this such a great place to work. We treat each other fairly, care about one another, and support each other through both good times and challenging situations. Trust between colleagues is an important part of our everyday work."

He also values the sense of community outside the daily tasks.

"It's the people who make everyday work more enjoyable. Even something as simple as taking a coffee break together gives you a chance to step away from work for a moment and catch up with your colleagues."
